SRM Joinery first engaged the services of
TWP Accounting when they grew dissatisfied
with their previous accountancy firm. According
to company secretary Mr Murwill, they simply
weren’t speaking the same language.
“They were quite aloof,” he says. “I
think because they were used to office-based
companies rather than construction companies.”
Four years ago, when Mr Murwill first met
TWP’s Graham Carter, he instantly felt
that he could speak to Graham, and that they
were in tune. “Graham works long
hours and is very flexible. I see him
at 7am some mornings, which seems to suit us
both very well.”
SRM Joinery has been established for ten years. They
specialise in bespoke interior joinery for
city-based corporate and private clients. TWP
take care of their annual accounts, and also
provide financial advice on an ad hoc basis.
“TWP have always been happy to explain
what they are doing. We aren’t
accountants. All of our directors are
trades people, and we don’t have a financial
director, so it’s very useful to have
someone who is willing to explain the situation.
They’ve been able to quickly get to
grips with the issues facing us, which results
in a much easier dialogue. They’ve
also provided a considerable cost saving, both
in the financial management and in their costs
to us.”
