Surrey-based accountancy firm TWP take the
sting out of finance for local management consulting
firm Kalpana Consulting.
Established for 3 years, Kalpana Consulting
advises a range of software companies, and
consulting enterprises on business development
and marketing. They promote growth for
those businesses, and prefer to invest time
into their clients than into dealing with their
accounts internally. They have utilised
the services of TWP since day 1, after a friend
recommended the company.
Director David Andrews comments, “They
came across as a sound organisation. The

TWP take care of the annual accounts, the
monthly payroll and supply guidance and advice
on an as-it’s-needed basis. The

whenever David needs to think about tax and
allowance issues.
“We use them from an accounting compliance
perspective,” he says. “It’s
an easy relationship without pressure. They’re
much more organised than I am, and so they
can keep an eye on deadlines and schedules
and give me ample warning when things like
tax deadlines are coming up.”

David. “It’s important to
benefit from an organisation that you know
are dependable. On one hand you can rely
on them to return your calls, and on the other
hand you know you are receiving sound advice.”
An added value product that David has received
has proved invaluable since the business began. David
was reluctant to invest in an accounting system
like Sage because its complexity was not concordant
with the way David likes to run his firm. TWP
helped Kalpana set up their internal accounting
process by giving them a custom-made, simplistic,
spreadsheet based accounting system that was
designed by the accountants. “I
still use it now,” says David. “I
can see my current financial position at any
one time. All of my information is in
one place and is easily accessible and translatable. It’s
a solid core accounting platform.”
David would not hesitate to recommend TWP. “They
take away the pain involved,” he says. “It
just makes sense for us.”
