Jurgen Zimmerman, DIC Europe GmbH
DIC Europe GmbH, the European distribution
arm of the Japanese giant Dainippon Ink and
Chemicals Incorporated, has been trading for
more than 30 years in the UK and Germany.
Its mother company has a much longer history – dating
back to 1908 – and is a world leader
in global markets for products including printing
inks and organic pigments. Currently producing
more than 300,000 different chemical products,
the DIC group includes around 250 companies
worldwide, employing more than over 27,000
people.
The way that DIC Europe GmbH does business
is driven by the principle that a first-class
product needs first-class support – and
first-class support is what they have found
in TWP.
Jurgen Zimmerman has been working with TWP
as accountants for the company’s UK branch,
in Staines, Middlesex, since the summer of
2006, when he took on his current role of chief
financial officer at DIC Europe GmbH, based
in Dusseldorf.
He inherited TWP from a colleague, who had
found them through research that started the
old-fashioned way - by looking through a phone
book - and he has quickly come to value what
the firm has to offer.
TWP initially supplied auditing services -
now transferred to a central auditor in Dusseldorf
- but continues to provide company secretarial
services, payroll support, tax advice and general
accountancy input, including advice on issues
such as business trip expenses.
As the DIC group continues to move forward,
TWP is also assisting in the takeover of another
office, which is still in the process of completion.
And in the future, Jurgen is looking forward
to making good use of TWP’s proactive
approach to business development to explore
ways to help DIC Europe grow still further.
He says: "We, as a very international
operating company, are very pleased that we
found TWP as our advisers. On the one hand,
their service is highly professional - on the
other, they are friendly and flexible to work
with.
“They are very different from some of
our other advisers in the way that they react
promptly and appropriately, whenever we need
their help. If we had more advisers like TWP
in other countries, we would be much happier.”
